Back in 2012, we were selling my parents' place in Laconia which had 40+ years worth of "stuff", (my parents were Depression era people and threw nothing away!) I was surprised that they would come all the way from Rochester, but they did. One guy and his son with a big box truck. They were very polite and friendly. I think they charged $500+, which I thought was a bargain for 2 guys for a full day's work. Things they hauled off included an old stove, an old freezer, window AC units, old lumber, old paneling....basically anything that you could think of that would be collected over 40 years in someone's cellar and attic.

A lot of that junk metal could be scrapped for big bucks back in 2012. Scrap metal prices have tanked since then.
