Even if you shut off your breakers, there's still a meter charge. Ask about the disconnect/reconnect fees and compare that to the meter charges.
If you can, get someone to look in on the place in case there are squatters as mentioned above. I've done that for a few friends and family. After a few obvious visits, the number of footprints in the snow dropped off noticeably.
