The Gilford DPW knocked on our door and asked for permission to remove the trees as they posed a potential hazard to traffic. Considering this was a complementary service to tax payers, I didn't need to think too hard about it.
Within an hour it was down and half of the other one was down. They did leave us four lengths of pine about 8-10 feet long each. Nothing a chain saw can't handle. ;-)
I can only imagine how much money it saved us....
