Yes, an 5-foot length of fairly new, but broken-off dock piling, appeared today. Too heavy to lift until my family gets here, I tied it off to the shoreline to keep it from battering my dock. Unfortunately, today's heavy-boating activity caused it to slip its tether, so I don't know where it is right now.
But it still could make a "return trip".
But
fortunately, I was able to pull the waterlogged 4x6 "dock upright" before some boater came to grief with it. (Worse on calm nights).
