Thank you all for your comments. (It IS an electric dryer, and yes I was aware that gas can not be vented inside, but it was very important to mention). It appears I will be cutting my ceiling and replacing with steel venting. The inside venting (I've been told by people who has used them( they are very messy to clean, and the moisture added can cause mold and mildew. Now I need a good plastered to repair my ceiling.
