I've heard similar pricing. Seems like a hefty cost for something with relatively limited usability and "working" season. I would also question its usable lifespan, unlike a fiberglass boat, you are not going to get 20+ years of operation out of it (most likely).
Neat idea, but not likely to take off (IMO).
