Well...................When I said you didn't need to be a licensed Captain it was because that is a different license than what is required.
The Coast Guard does give exams and their are courses you can take to be a "licensed Captain". You need that for many types of operations on the ocean but it is not a license that you would need on Winnipesaukee.
