As long as the music being played is done so as background music. Request should be taken and you should be able to play to your audience. If there are children there, cater to them too. Play a song or two that they would recognize from the favorite show or cartoon. My favorite place to eat is Silos in Merrimack NH because of their Filet. They have a piano player there but its always just classical music which gets old real quick
