Talking Center Harbor general store

As a kid I, plus a couple of the other Brookhurst kids, used to take Dad's boat* to go to that general store to get the most recent issue comic book(s). A big deal when you're tired of torturing the local population of frogs and crayfish and snorkeling about the same old rocks isn't yielding any "treasure". We'd sit on the steps outside the store devouring the latest tale of Superman vs the bad guys, wondering if we should forgoe the candy to get Spiderman too.

*I had to take the boat, was too young to drive a car
