My point on Crossroads was simply that anytime you mix gasoline and water you have an environmental issue. Sawyer's is pretty close to the little stream that leads to Saunders Bay. Any oil company would have to consider the cost of a legal fight to place a gas station there. That makes the spot less valuable.
Very few places in this country "need" another gas station, but that alone doesn't mean it's not good business to build one.
Personally, I hope something happens. The current owners don't seem to have their heart in the place anymore. As someone who grew up in that business, unless you love it, it's can be exhausting miserable work.
