FLL - I think you may be precisely on target with your guess that the Sawyers location is also in very close proximity to that Aquifer. I recall (somewhat fuzzily) a bit of buzz over the winter which indicated that property could not be utilized for any fueling.
I also recall reading that the Sawyer family really did not wish to sell unless the buyer intended to continue with current use, and BRAVO to the Sawyers for that!
I would truly hate to see that property change in any way - Sawyers is an institution, and visiting there is a summer ritual for thousands. Besides - their ice cream is divine!
