| A. V. Lincoln of Boston, MA, who had extensive connections with the (Lakeshore) Railroad, erected his impressive cobblestone and shingle cottage at the end of the 19th century overlooking the Broads. The cottage's horsebarn also remains. He gave the town a small piece of land now known as Lincoln Park, Mr Lincoln was a great favorite of the local children and hired a steamer to take them on excursions about the lake to celebrate his birthday. 127 Belknap Point Road." |
