Best ever is whatever the last one I had.

The more simple something is the easier it is to screw up. If the roll is fresh, the lobster cooked properly and not watery and the right amount of mayo there is no bad one.

Personally I like the taste of a little celery and lettuce but of course most places don't do that lest they be accused of stuffing to be cheap. Celery seed is one option.

The roll at The Clam Shack in Kennebunkport wins all kinds of awards and it is really, really good but non traditional so I struggle with it. Round bun, butter, optional mayo and big chunks.
