Fire safety is serious business. Take it from one who has put out two gasoline fires with fire extinguishers.
One in an auto repair shop, with an extinguisher I could barely carry—and one in traffic with a 2½-pounder—both totally extinguished. I've also seen
two cases where gas pump nozzles have stuck in the open position.
You can get serious burns just from the "FWOOOOOOOOMP"!
