The Black Flies were pretty nasty at my place in Tuftonboro this past Sunday. It may be that they aren't as bad on Parker Island, or perhaps, as suggested, us Flatlanders are whimps. That's what I figured. We're in Tuftonboro also, and I *knew* this was their time, but some years they are worse/better than others. And don't be fooled by any claims of black fly bravado...doesn't matter where you're from, those suckers are nasty.
