There is an area in front of the cemetary (next to the Margate) in Paugus Bay
that is all sand and no rocks. You can anchor there, swim,picnic on your boat,you can even grab an empty dock at the Margate and have lunch at the outside Cabana Bar. It's a nice shallow area to hang out. The only problem is it's a little wavey on a Sat or Sun. Boat Traffic down th Bay bounces you around a little.
