Does that even make sense? Dead of winter? 12:01 in the morning? I realize viewers are in different time zones but I assume a big majority are in EST and I'm assuming the forum server is in EST as well (maybe a bad assumption). Regardless, what was so compelling on January 19 that resulted in this record? Just seems like an odd time during a presumably slow time of the year.
That was an unusual spike of activity at that time of day. I also noticed that the "most users online" record was broken a few other times in the week before that. Usually those spikes seem to be mostly caused by something of general interest on the site being linked to on social media, other forums or news sites.

Another factor is that at any point in time a percentage of those site visitors are search engine bots that constantly tunnel their way through the site indexing everything. Sometimes they are very active. The resulting search results do bring people from all over the world into our threads so I'm not complaining.
