Nightwing: I'm not talking about a state agency publishing anything. Those logs, I believe, are public record and as such can be reviewed by anyone, including the police beat reporter (sometimes an interin) for the Laconia paper.

Most police departments I have dealt with in the past don't publish anything themselves, and are not partucularly happy when a reporter copies information from a police log, but they allow it because they have to.

So what I am suggesting is that the Laconia paper (or other papers in the region) put the Marine Patrol on their list of public safety agencies to get logged information from and publish that information under the "Police Log" column.
