Beyond the bad optics of this, one has to question the following:
- Should this have been disclosed a prior in detail to avoid speculation and legal concerns?
- What does it say that his wife and child are going to live on Governor's Island while he maintains a residence in Laconia?
- Would this have been a consideration in electing him to this position?
