Sheps\Goodhue must have a heck of a waiting list or don't believe this will effect their business negatively.

I want to say their annual cost valet, storage and basic winterization is about 6K for a 20' bowrider. I would expect that a wet slip would be a little more.

It's a significant added cost being it's an all or nothing thing.
My slip at Sheps was more than $3000 - closer to $4000. Yes, they require boat storage over the winter which is an added cost. The island property is used pretty consistently ice in to ice out with family members coming and going all hours of the day and night, different days of the week from different locations. The slip is part of the annual cost of the property. Without a slip, we would have to significantly alter the way we choose to enjoy the island. Cost is a concern but one that can be budgeted for. The bigger concern is how long they will keep offering slips. The waiting list is long and each of the past two years they have taken slips away so they can increase their rental fleet. I have no complaints about Sheps; all the owners, going back to Shep himself, have been good to our family. I hope they continue to see slips for island residents as an important part of their business.
