The Ride
Yes, I too rode up from Southern MA in a 66 Ford wagon with the rear deck laid flat so that I could sleep, thus making me a human missile if anything were to happen. Now my kids complain about who is sitting where (on leather). I tell them that wherever I sat there was no A/C, no stereo (or MP3 player), and more than once I was called upon to help change a flat. The car's ride wasn't anything near what they are used to, and occasionally a smell came from up front that would cause the dog to gag. They have no idea...
On a lighter note, my ex once lost her top waterskiing, sadly no one noticed save for the tan lines...
