If your bird was LOUD, it was reported in the Rochester Times (print) last week. Out of the blue, an Amazon parrot landed on a stranger's shoulder there. They are looking for the owner.

It would be very unusual for two parrots to appear in one place, so your bird was probably in flight when you heard it. They aren't just loud, they're extremely loud.
