Peechee - from your description of the sound, it sounds more like Ricah, my Blue and Gold Macaw, than the crows and ravens in my back yard. Givia immer is correct in the statement that Parrots (and Macaws) are not just LOUD --- they are
EXTREMELY LOUD! 
Sometimes on summer nights when we return home from work quite late in the evening, Ricah will get so excited that somebody's home, and if the windows are open I know that my neighbor on the other side of the woods must often wonder what in the world is going on in my house!
It's a wonder he's never called the police to report screaming coming from our direction!
Seriously though, is it possible that a house in the area is home to a large exotic bird or two?
Oh! And a Post-Script to GoodSk8's reference to my other thread ... I am now of the firm belief that the sounds I hear outside my house are indeed Ravens. Thanks to ALL who helped me identify the mysterious cries!
