Thanks for the insight, folks...this screeching AWK-ing was heard out on one of the Lake Winni islands coming from a heavily forested area. And was answered by another screecher. Maybe I shall consult Audobon? Hope the parrots are all well out there....I have cockatiels and parakeets.
