Different formulas are a bit different, but that seems to be the common ingredient... that an oil that helps it adhere to the plant surface.
Reapplication varies, but usually about once a week for a couple weeks and then every month.

Yup, the main ingredient is “putrified eggs”! I actually have a camera setup in my yard and watch them at night. They won’t touch the plants after they have been sprayed! I wouldn’t either!
