Sorry to hear that; had he had any real experience piloting a boat before? May have been a good question to ask, if you didn't prior to letting him drive. One thing to keep in mind is, accidents happen! Heaven knows some have happened with my own boat, and with an experienced "driver"!

I know you just started boating, at least here, in July -- judging by your initial post you didn't sound too happy about it, and you didn't have great experiences from day one so this probably seems like just one more unhappy thing. I hope your winter is better and you can forget about this season and may your second season on the Lake be a sunny one!!!!!
