You said it! In the four seasons that I've owned my sailboat, I never made it down to the broads. Yesterday, Columbus Day, was the day. It took me an hour to motor down to the Barber Pole, but then I spent five hours sailing up and down and across the big part of the lake. Thirty two miles for about a gallon of gas! The winds were 9-12 and the temperature eventually got into the 70's. Hardly any boat traffic to worry about. I was going to pull the boat last weekend, but am glad I didn't.
