My boat has a 39" draft. I've been through there during all seasons, and never had an issue. Obviously you need to honor the markers, and generally need to stay roughly in the middle of the channel, although there is ample width for boats to pass one another through most of the "gut". As you enter/exit on the northeast side, there are stone walls that confine the entrance to a very narrow passage. In that location, there is only enough room for one boat, and you need to stay dead center in the passageway, particularly if you have twin outdrives (as I do). However, if you stay in the middle there, you should be fine.
