Be wary of a single rock that is hiding just below the surface (and has my paint on it) about 6 feet out from the shoreline on your starboard side just as you enter the gut travelling west. At some point during the year someone typically marks it with a Clorox jug or something...but not always. I'd stay a tad left of center when entering from the eastern side. This is also the narrowest part of the channel.
