I always take my temp readings over 100’ of water. The top of the Thermocline today was at 29’. As water warms it usually settles around 35’. Bait fish will be in the thermocline therefore the majority of game fish (salmon, Rainbow trout) will be also… 65-67 degrees above, 56 + or - at or below….
