When I owned my business things would happen such as an HVAC failure.

I would expend a lot of effort to remedy the problem asap. Sometimes it would be at great expense for expedited service or over nighted parts. That was the right thing to do.

Unfortunately, I would sometimes hear customers complaining saying "That cheap &@#% won't pay to keep us cool".
If I owned the restaurant I would have honored the advertised special and taken the sign down ASAP. Basic business. A kid in the neighborhood applied for a job there and was given the run around. I’m not impressed and won’t be stopping in anytime soon.
