Actually, if you leave a car here in NH and besides liability coverage you also have at least Comprehensive Coverage (also known as OTC - Other than collision), when you leave, contact your agent and have them suspend all auto coverage on that vehicle except OTC. Your vehicle will then have just coverage for the Comprehensive Coverage (OTC). When you get ready to return to NH, contact your agent and have them reinstate those deleted coverages. You will save a lot of money.
