I've been following
Scotty Kilmer (YouTube) for a couple of years, and agree with everything he says.
As for tires, tread longevity seems to be foremost when buying tires, but I find the ride (and road noise) increases with age.
(That is,
the tire's age).
Likewise, I don't normally rotate tires; however, I might make an exception this Friday. My vehicle is going in for its
third alignment in a month! Maybe they can get the steering wheel straight, test-drive it, stop the front tires from a noticeable rippling across the new tread and squealing on turns on smooth asphalt. If they can't get the toe-in
corrected this time, I will have to adjust it myself.
