I pulled my boat out on Columbus Day weekend, after I realized I was supposed to be out of my slip by Oct 1st.

Of course on Saturday I got a call from a couple wanting to elope out on the lake. Crap! No boat.

We decided on the gazebo at Church Landing instead. It's over the water, just not in it.

While I was waiting for the couple to arrive, a yahoo at the town docks pulled away at rocket speed and did the equivalent of a wheelie around the 150 ft buoy. Then he sped over to the ramp to pull his boat out. I'm all for the last hoorah for the season but just 'cause it's November doesn't mean you can break the rules! ugh.
