I'm sure we all try to live a fulfilling life in retirement, but most will leave behind a significant amount when they pass, and you also have to prepare for that. Yes, if things worked out and your children are already successful homeowners then that's great, but that's not always the case. My children's future is always part my plans.
My three children are living well and don't need my money, but I don't know when my time is up, so I'm prepared for that. It's just foolish not to be.
