IIRC, didn't 50¢ of that fee go towards rescue costs?
Before they start taxing (sorry,
fee-ing) paddles, oars and swim noodles, you'd think F&G would look at costly rescue activities.
Although one or two rescued hikers have cheerfully coughed up the thousand
$ that visitors cost the State for their rescues, how much goes uncollected?
