What a shame. In the early 60's the Gilford Historic Society had a one day open house. Beaurtiful hand carved furntture among other things. Apparently the Trsutees sold whaterver they could and eventaually the trusdt disolved. In the late 1990's, there was an effort to renovate and become a country inn. My son, age 11, loved castles and bought a couple of shares, so we got another tour then. That fell apart and he got his money back.
