I keep seeing the idea of shifting the full pool date.... this is not viable in my opinion.... getting to full pool is by in large based on the spring melt off coming out of the Mountains..... By Late June / July that source of incoming water is non existent.... so how can they maintain a latter date......

as JeffK has pointed out, the operation of the Dam is dictated by needs down stream.... to move the date, for full lake they have to be able to store water somewhere to keep Winnipesaukee full... yes there are places thy could do it, but then we risk flooding issues.... The balancing act is delicate.....

Its been a rough year with little rain through July and August..... it is what it is for the lake level... just like when there is a good snow pack, and to Much Rain in June, there is a high water issue... it is what it is folks.... If you can't follow Mother Natures lead in this dance, you are going to be unhappy no mater what.....

The Dam operators have a difficult job..... don't second guess them.....
