thinking of something like this for the posts.

I live on the West side of Welch Island and have a 28’ Bennington docked at my breakwater dock all season… No lift. It doesn’t get much windier anywhere else on the lake when the predominant NW wind is blowing!

I two way tie off one front pontoon in opposing directions using 1/2” line wrapped around shock absorbing dog bones. The rear is tied on one side only using one dog bone line and one safety line. I also utilize one fender at the stern between dock and boat. My pontoon never touches the dock in the bow whatsoever no matter how rough it gets. The stern sits pretty stable and occasionally will bump the protective fender. I have the fender placed where it will not rub or mar any surface even with repeated fender impacts.

I have had pontoon boats for the past 18 years and have tied everyone the same way without damage.

While utilizing a lift would be nice, it would certainly take away any advantage of the shallow water docking a pontoon offers….Lifts require a lot of extra water depth.
