Work gloves at Rand's Ace Hardware start at $4.99 and go up to about $25. Nothing comes close to these $1.19 Market Basket gloves. They are like the #1 best deal in New England.

So, I'm walking down Main St past the Flying Monkey and a tall, attractive white woman, about age-30, pretty good make-up is walking toward me on the sidewalk and she goes "I'm homeless and living outside and I am running out of money, any chance you can help me out?" She was tall, attractive and young so's I give her five dollars, the money I saved on the work gloves.

Hell's bells ....... I should have asked her out on a date or something ..... such a missed opportunity. .......
I'm guessing she's doing better on the street than on your dime.

I can see it now:

Woman: "I need better gloves to work in my rose garden."

FLL: "Yippy yo yay, they've got a sale on them gloves there at the Plymouth Market Basket and after we get some-a them we can stop by the hardware store for some free coffee and half-off rentals before taking my 1977 standard Honda Civic to..."

Woman: walks off into the (home insecure) distance.
