Ok, for $5000 I just bought this 2014 Scion xD 5-speed stick, 4-cyl, fwd, sub-compact hatch back w/ 4 doors & hatchback, 164,000-miles and no I did not pay with food stamps, I paid with a cash deposit and then a bank check.
It has 164k miles and yesterday I drove it about one hundred miles around Meredith, Laconia, Holderness, Ashland and Plymouth and this car is a real good driver ...... what a GOOD car!
Bought it on Monday at Lakes Auto Sales & Detailing, Tilton, behind Truck Trends undercoating, close to Home Depot, owned and managed by Jeff the smart used car guy.
So, if you is looking for a new used car to buy, I highly recommend Lakes Auto Sales & Detailing, Tilton NH. Must be 25 different cars and pick-up trucks on the lot.
Got two new NH license plates at town Hall for $105, and got excellent insurance coverage from Allstate-Meredith for $525/six months, where you are in Good Hands!. Got an appointment in Laconia, tomorrow morning to get a state inspection at Mike's Quality Car Care so wish me some good state inspection LUCK ...... ho-ho-ho. ....
In 2015 this Scion xD was sold new by Irwin Toyota for $16250 to someone unknown in Plymouth NH. It was a one owner car, according to Carfax. It now has a second owner, ME!

Need to get a roof rack and four new quality radio speakers from eBay, and then replace the broken antenna on the roof. Got a Bosch 8" replacement rear windshield wiper blade for $16, and a Stant locking gas cap for $18 at O'Reilly's auto parts. Got a bottle of Techron injector cleaner for $8 and a bottle of SuperTech injector cleaner for $2.50 at Walmart. Got a Walmart-Plymouth oil change with Valvoline Restore, upgraded Fram oil filter, new Fram air cleaner filter, gallon SuperTech antifreeze , all for about $85. Got about $22 regular gasoline at Citgo in Plymouth. Got four new license plate screws for 89-cents each at Heath Ace Hdwe in Laconia to replace the old ones so's the license plates are secure.
It came with four new Toyo Extensa a/t II tires that go for $106-each at Walmart and included in the $5000-price, plus ten dollars gasoline in the tank.
Already got it undercoated with NH Oil black undercoat at Truck Trends undercoat in Tilton ...... a smart move on an elderly car to help beat back that wicked N.H. road rock salt and salt brine yucky stuff that helps keep the road safe and drivable, all this cold long winter, care of the N.H. Dept of Transportation.

On a separate side note, as a customer waiting in line for a Walmart oil change, I was witness to a $525 dispute between the customer ahead of me and the three store associates, a female car care service writer, a female car care manager, and the female store big boss that devolved down until he was evicted from the Walmart-Plymouth by the big boss. He, the customer, was a 55-year old male, and he said his credit card was charged $525 for four tires he purchased on the Walmart website, and the tires are lost. The tires never showed up to this store. He was somewhat stressed and trying to remain calm and polite but because he said something slightly disparaging about his treatment by the first two employees, the big boss had him evicted from the store, and he was honestly very shocked she did that to him but he left the store with no trouble. It took about five minutes for him to discuss his situation with the service writer, the service manager, and the store manager until she threw him out.
Lesson here, you need to be extremely carefully what you say in situations like this. Guys just have a different way of talking than woman, and things can quickly roll off the rail if you talk the way you normally talk. Best bet is to bring along a woman to argue your case with the Walmart woman employees over a $525 dispute so it don't turn into an impossible situation, and you just stand there and keep your mouth shut and say basically nothing. And, that's the way it is at the Plymouth NH, Walmart.
