The 2014 Scion xD has four electric windows and non-adaptive, standard cruise control that all work excellent. The gas tank holds about eleven gallons, total.
Stick-shift cars are more fun and engaging to drive with a different sound and feel than an automatic. It requires both right and left foot, plus right hand on the stick.
Now-a-days many other drivers have forgot about roll-back and get very close behind me at an uphill stop light which can be challenging to keep the roll-back to a minimum at a steep up-hill stop light.
New cars today start at $30,000 and it increases price to insure, plus they have too much technology, if you ask me.
I have a 2012 Tacoma and now have a 2014 Scion xD, both are stick shifts and both have cd player slots.
The Tacoma was not cheap at all. It cost $18,500 & $625 dealer prep, a 2012 Tacoma 2wd access cab sr5 w/ 45k miles purchased Feb 2025 at Grappone Toyota. The tires were el cheapo Uniroyal snow tires, and Grappone refused to replace them so I discarded them and got five new Yokohama Avid S touring all-seasons at VIP-Laconia which is a good place to buy tires.
The large flat screen radio in the Scion xD is incredibly complex and probably never be mastered.
Cars for me are a utility-driver and not a vehicle that makes a statement, is just good safe transportation.
Two vent windows, those small triangle windows up-front that bring in the fresh air would be a major improvement. Bring back the vent windows, and the stick shift!
If I were president of the USA, I would outlaw the automatic transmission and require all new cars to be a manual transmission with a clutch pedal to make America great again ...... ha-ha-ha! .......
As the old saying goes, You Are What You Drive!
