So, as I sit here in Texas, missing the lake..... I found some humor listening to people talk about the lake temperature here........

Apparently in Texas, if the water is below 70, wetsuits are mandatory to some people...

I have also seen expressed that below 70 you are just nuts to get in the water....

with that said lets turn our thoughts to air temperature.... Boating seems to come to end for many people in September / October just like up North... as Once the air temperature drops below 80.... it is to chilly to be on the water.....

And now lets talk about over reacting to cold weather, for a single night last week it was supposed to be around freezing, people questioned if they had waited to long to winterize there engines..... apparently a block heater, or engine compartment heaters for i/o and inboards are foreign to these folks.... there are even those with outboards, that don't quite seem to understand that if you tilt the engine down after coming out of the water, all the water drains out of the engine.....

With that said, I will likely be the only one on the water again Christmas day, even if it is the 70s like last year....
