I know this is old….but it’s true
Back in the 50’s we walked to school with as much as 1 foot of snow and had to step aside because Laconia qnd Lakeport still used horse drawn sidewalk plows.They had motorized plows but still used horse’s occasionally.Nothing got closed back then unless it was a major blizzard.Didn’t have cell phones back then so we actually played in the snow and shoveled to make extra money

In the last 10-15 years, peoples ability to deal with the snow, has diminished. At first is was a southern New England issue, but the trend has migrated North word.....Actually I don't think the issue is peoples abilities, as much as it has been the fact that the more life stops the easier the clean up is with fewer vehicles on the road....
Charlie Baker, cancelled life in Massachusetts for a Northeaster, Since then the trend has continued.....
With all that said at least life come to an end for actual snow.... Here in Texas life comes to an end, with the discussion of snow.... which then doesn't materialize.
