As always there are two sides to every story, and this story is ... unfortunate for all concerned.
I have never been to Farm Island so I am unfamiliar with what is or is not there.
As I understand the issues, Mr. Owen owns a portion of the island and the Camp also owns a portion of the island; Mr. Owen is a developer and the Camp doesn't want the island to be developed.
The sides have been drawn.
The harassment charge stems from what seems to be campers / counselors trespassing on Mr. Owen's property and him leaving an angry voice mail in response.
My question: is there currently a stout fence in place between the properties, and if not, why not?
Might a fence not prevent unwanted trespassing?
They say "Good fences make for good neighbors."
As for the appeal of his harassment conviction I suspect that notwithstanding the reversal and remand based on a legal technicality he will again be convicted at retrial.
