There is a little something to this. It's important for kids to learn the value of work and the value of money and learn how to show up and respond to a boss and/or customers. But not too much. In hindsight I worked too much.
I was cutting lawns at 14 to I could buy a car when I turned 16. In the meantime I got a job after school at the tulsa station in meredith for about 25 hours a week then started my first full time job the very first day after graduating from high school and have not stopped since. I got addicted to having money in my pocket at the expense of everything else.
