4K is indeed a lot of money for a personal plow. I find it more economical to have someone else relocate the wintry precip from the walks and driveway, so I asked the question as a form of self-information via the members of this forum. I do have a receiver lock - frugal insurance, indeed, which is why my curiosity lead to my query.

This is another website that lists an offering of SNOWPLOW ACCESSORIES. Two types of locks are shown. A lock will, at minimum, cause the thief to ponder if your plow is worth the hassle, when so many are more easily obtainable.
