We're up the hill from you and yes I think it is a golden eagle that is making its rounds out here. He/she decided chicken was on the menu and went for one of the birds in the horse pasture. The smaller mare chased it out before it hit the hen. She hates predators, ask the neighbors dogs

It didn't look like a bald eagle even an immature one and it was definitely larger than the turkey vultures.
