Yes, at mach 4.6 the sonic booms create a tidle wave effect on each side of the boat. I have been tagged a few times for creating waves too big and washing up on home owners shores.
One time I passed the MS Washington, and they decided to wave jump off my wake. Go figure.
If I duck my head and toss the family overboard I can get up to mach 4.8 on a good day with no wake in my path.
