I went to Moose Alley in Pittsburg this time of year (maybe a little earlier). It is on Route 3 just south of the Canadien border. Best to go after dark or before sunup. We saw maybe 20+ moose. Interesting that most were in the middle of the road licking the white line. A local told me that apparently the white paint of the center line holds the road salt residue longer than the blacktop and they love it.

BTW: I saw a very young moose swimming across Alton Bay 2 weeks ago. I don't know where it started but it got out at Watson Point.
